TiVo plans to introduce a Fantasy Football service for all of its Series2 and soon-to-be Series3 users.

TiVo users will soon have full control of their CBS Sportsline fantasy football rosters right from the comfort of their couch. That is, assuming they didn’t have a laptop, or something. The new service will allow users to access and modify their fantasy team rosters right in the TiVo service, using their remote control to access the new interface.

Football enthusiasts will also be able to receive live football news, updates, and live interviews directly through the service, making for something of a live fantasy football console. TiVo appears to be distancing themselves from competition with other DVR products on the market, the likes of which can’t display the smiling faces of Dan Marino and Boomer Essiason while you cut TO from your lineup for being a moron.
